Chris Farmer has been serving funeral service for almost 20 years. Chris was in-house counsel for SCI from 2003-2008 before he started in private practice representing funeral homes, cemeteries, and crematories of all sizes across North America. Chris was General Counsel for the Texas Funeral Directors Association and General Counsel and on the Board of Directors for the Cremation Association of North America for over 7 years each. After a short stint running Corporate Development for Carriage Services, Chris realized his true passion was serving small and medium sized funeral services businesses and providing them the comprehensive legal advice and representation they truly need. Chris founded The Farmer Firm which is now in its seventh year providing the profession advice on buying and selling, regulatory matters, business matters, litigation, employment law, and any other legal matters our profession faces. He functions as General Counsel to The National Funeral Directors Association and many other successful businesses.

Kevin Kruger has been providing financial, management, and consulting services for his entire professional career. He worked in multiple roles for UPS Logistics Group and Power Systems Research prior to joining the funeral industry in 2003 when he started working with The Foresight Companies. As an Analyst, and then Director of Business Analysis, Kevin worked very closely with owners, managers, and staff in all aspects of funeral home and cemetery operations. He understands the numbers and the challenges. Over those 16 years, he has analyzed and evaluated over 1,000 businesses and was involved in more than 100 business transfers. In his personal time, Kevin enjoys low stakes poker, bad golf, and a lifetime of disappointing Minnesota Vikings football. Kevin joined Chris in forming Memorial Consulting Partners to focus on the important issues of understanding business value and then producing and implementing well thought out business succession plans.
